David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.
Best-selling children's author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.
A representative for the company commented: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was made after an review of allegations of inappropriate behaviour involving young women.
The publisher declined to specify the reasons for its decision, stating: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."
An Illustrious Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, having sold in excess of 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Several of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
To date, he has released more than 40 books combined, which features a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.
A Dual Career
He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
